School Window Replacement Projects in Oxfordshire & Banbury
During the summer holidays of 2025, CN Glass, the leading installers and manufacturers of windows and doors across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds, completed two major school window replacement projects following a competitive tender process. Based in Banbury, our expert team delivered high-quality, energy-efficient installations at St John Fisher School in Oxford and Blessed George Napier School in Banbury, ensuring both sites were ready for the new academic year starting on Wednesday 3rd September.
Delivering Energy-Efficient Glazing Solutions
The challenge was clear: provide each school with energy-efficient glazing and door replacements, refresh the look of the buildings, and complete all work before pupils returned. Thanks to careful planning and a structured project timeframe, we achieved all objectives on schedule.
St John Fisher School, Oxford
At this primary school, we began by removing all old window frames and sending them for recycling – part of CN Glass’s sustainable practices.
The school selected a commercial smart wall pocket screen with pivot doors, paired with Alitherm 600 aluminium window inserts in a gloss white finish. These ‘A’-rated, Argon-filled double-glazed units feature aluminium-faced insulation panels and white UPVC shiplap cladding, blending seamlessly with the exterior.
Given the high footfall and lively environment, durability was essential. We installed robust hardware including satin anodised pull handles and folding window openers with built-in safety restrictions – ensuring both longevity and pupil safety.
Blessed George Napier School, Banbury
A similar transformation took place at this secondary school, where all old frames were responsibly recycled.
For the Corrigan Building, home to the Arts department, we installed Smarts Alitherm 300 windows and Technal Storm Frame Stii commercial doors. To maximise natural light – vital for music, art, and photography classrooms – we used Coolite SKN176 solar reflective glass, combining energy efficiency with a sleek, contemporary look inside and out.
Again, durability was key. Satin anodised aluminium pull handles and folding window openers were chosen to withstand heavy daily use while complementing the modern frames.
Sustainable School Upgrades Across Oxfordshire
Both schools now benefit from energy-efficient school window replacements and commercial door installations that will serve staff and pupils for years to come. At CN Glass, we pride ourselves not only on the quality of our installations but also on our commitment to sustainability – from recycling old frames to recommending hardware that balances safety with durability.
