Industry Experts Gather in Oxford for CN Glass X Vacuum Glazing UK CPD Event
On 9th September 2026 we hosted our first CPD Event in partnership with Vacuum Glazing UK in Oxford, bringing together architects, conservation specialists, joiners, and construction professionals from across the industry.
Our aim : To highlight LandVac Vacuum Glazing as a key contender of glazing technology and as a viable solution for projects where conventional glazing options may not be suitable.

The event provided attendees with a valuable opportunity to learn more about the growing role of vacuum glazing technology within both modern and historic buildings through presentations, case studies, and expert discussions. Each attendee gained practical insight into how this pioneering technology is helping to address some of the key challenges facing the built environment today, including energy efficiency, sustainability, heritage preservation, and building performance.
The event opened with a presentation from Scott Cuthbert, Sales Director here at CN Glass, who provided an overview of the LandVac Vacuum Glazing system. Scott explored the technical specifications, thermal performance, installation considerations, and the benefits that vacuum glazing can offer when seeking to improve energy efficiency without compromising aesthetics.
Chris Procter of Procter-Rihl Architects then shared a series of fascinating case studies, showcasing how LandVac has been successfully incorporated into a range of properties across London.
Jeff Guest, Sales Manager at Gowercroft Joinery, discussed the opportunities and challenges associated with installing vacuum glazing in heritage and listed buildings and finally, Laura Millbourn of The Window Consultancy, offered invaluable guidance on planning for window replacement projects within heritage settings.
Following the presentations, attendees and speakers came together for a final discussion, creating an opportunity to talk through more of the topics covered throughout the afternoon in greater detail.
The discussion generated a wide range of questions and perspectives, reflecting the growing interest in vacuum glazing technology and its role in improving building performance while respecting architectural and heritage considerations.
