CN Glass worked closely with architects to complete a window replacement for Merton College Oxford, Oxfordshire.
Merton College underwent a wide program of refurbishment to their buildings in the University City of Oxford where conservation demands a sensitive approach to the architecture and period of the building.
CN Glass are an approved installer of George Barnsdale timber windows and doors. We were delighted to work closely with Merton College and the Architects Ridge & Partners to carry out the supply and installation of replacement windows and doors to several properties owned by the college including the student accommodation.
This latest installation continues several years’ worth of work completed at the college. Each phase of the project has required careful planning to minimise disruption to students. To achieve this, we worked closely with the college and architects to create an efficient installation program at each stage that maximised the holiday period.
George Barnsdale has carried out extensive design and manufacture of replica period windows for retained façade developments and their traditional timber windows and doors are the perfect combination of period design and modern performance. Designed for renovation, the frames are double glazed, providing exceptional levels of weather, acoustic and security performance.
