Primary School pupil wins first prize as Easter artwork is transformed into glass at CN Glass
In February 2026, CN Glass launched their first ever Easter Doors competition. Pupils from local primary schools in and around Banbury were invited to submit their entries whereby they were asked to produce a colourful Easter scene which would be made into the glass doors of the premises showroom.
The winning design, submitted by five-year-old Mariella, stood out for its creativity and charm, earning the exciting opportunity to be brought to life by the in-house glazing specialists — a proud moment for Mariella, her family, and members of her school community.
Mariella used her creativity to produce a thoughtful design, cleverly outlining the glass doors so that each pane featured an endearing Easter-themed illustration. Her artwork not only captured the spirit of the Easter weekend but also brought smiles to visitors of the CN Glass showroom.
CN Glass Managing Director Louise said:
“We were thrilled by the response to our first Easter Doors Competition. The standard of artwork from our local primary schools was exceptional, and every single entry impressed us.
“At CN Glass, we regularly update the glass in our showroom doors to reflect key celebrations and commemorations — from Remembrance Day to supporting local charity events such as the Katharine House Hospice Tractor Run.
“This year, thanks to the creativity on display and the perfect timing within our lead work department, we were able to feature Easter celebrations in our showroom. Mariella’s design captured the spirit of Easter beautifully, and we felt it was a wonderful tribute to the Easter weekend.”
“Community is at the heart of all we do here at CN Glass and we like to give back where we can. We have no doubt that Mariella will enjoy her prize trip to Cadbury World and her school can make use of the book tokens she has won.”
Members of the public can view Mariella’s Easter design, crafted by the CN Glass Lead Work team, at the CN Glass showroom, open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm and based at Norton House, Beaumont Road, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 1SD.
